How did you become involved with the Toy Chest?
Early in my medical career, I met Ron Gray while working in the ER of Saint Joseph East hospital. Several years later, we reconnected through our love of serving our community. We developed a partnership between the Toy Chest and the Urgent Care Centers of Kentucky for the ‘Luggage of Love’ campaign. The experience was a catalyst for inspiration and motivated me to invest in the future of Kentucky’s children.
What inspires me?
Margaret Mead once said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Her quote inspires me to continue advocating for our most vulnerable citizens.
What are you doing to “Be Relevant” in the community?
I believe all children should have a chance to thrive. Supporting the services and opportunities they need to succeed will change the future for our children and their families.
